Booking a Session Follow
The booking form is accessible thru the Live Dashboard and by clicking Book Now.
Any user-permission level: admins, content managers, approvers, and editors, with the exception of CART Participant, has access to Book Now
Admins will be able to manage all booked sessions.
On the other hand, CART Participants will be able to see only sessions they were added as a participant of; either as a speaker or an attendee.
Once a session is successfully booked, it will be available for review and editing in the Live Dashboard.
Whenever a session is booked, a session is automatically coupled to one speaker page and one attendee page, both accessible to users with logins to the platform, or by clicking the link in the reminder email sent 30-mins before the scheduled start time.
- The person who will be handling the recording should be added as speaker during booking.
If done, the speaker will receive an email with a link to the session’s speaker page; wherein he/she can configure the recording device and manage the recording. - The end user, i.e. hard-of-hearing student, should be added as attendee during booking.
If done, the attendee will receive an email with a link to the session’s attendee page; wherein he/she can view the transcript from the recorded audio, configure the transcript format, and export the transcript post-event.
NOTE: If the end user/student will be using Live Room, the student must be registered as an attendee of the session for Live Room to channel the transcript and/or captions thru it.
NOTE: The attendee and speaker emails needs to be entered in all lower-case.
