On Site and In-Person Events Follow
On Site refers to an event, i.e. a class or a conference, wherein both speaker and attendee are physically present during the event, with either having a recording device connected to a computer and records the event thru the Verbit portal.
How It Works?
Whenever a session is booked, a session is automatically coupled to one speaker page and one attendee page, both accessible to users with logins to the platform, or by clicking the link in the reminder email sent 30-mins before the scheduled start time.
- The person who will be handling the recording should be added as speaker during booking.
If done, the speaker will receive an email with a link to the session’s speaker page; wherein he/she can configure the recording device and manage the recording. - The end user, i.e. hard-of-hearing student, should be added as attendee during booking.
If done, the attendee will receive an email with a link to the session’s attendee page; wherein he/she can view the transcript from the recorded audio, configure the transcript format, and export the transcript post-event.
Requirements
Book a Session for the On Site Event
When booking a session for an on site or in-person event, toggle the Type of Session to On Site.
Fulfill the rest of the form.
A Wearable Recording Device or Microphone
We strongly recommend using a clip-type/wearable microphone to ensure direct and clear speech capture and noise reduction.
Verbit's officially supported microphone is the Revolabs xTag USB Microphone.

Create Logins for the Speaker
The speaker registered in the booking form should be the person who will be responsible in recording the event.
The speaker does not necessarily have to be the speaker of the event.
NOTE: In many cases, the student handles the recording him/herself.
If this is the case, it would be best to add the student's email as the speaker.
The registered speaker will receive an email with a link to the session’s speaker page; through which he/she can configure the recording device and manage the recording.
