If you are accustomed to using the "Export" feature for downloading finished jobs, please pay attention to the following change. We are introducing a new method for downloading files and by that also updating the terminology.
New terminology: Files downloaded to your local computer are considered as "Download", while sending files to media providers (Linked accounts) is referred to as "Export".
The DOWNLOAD MENU, formerly known as EXPORT, is used to download finished jobs in one or several file formats - either straight to your computer (“download”) or exported to media providers via linked account (“export”).
You can use DOWNLOAD to:
- Download the latest version of a transcript and/or captions
- Download any/all available translations
- Export transcript and captions back to a linked account (media provider)
- Use plugins; such as interactive transcript scripts or offline interactive transcripts
DOWNLOAD is designed to show only the options relevant to the job.
e.g. If the job does not include captions - the “Captions” option will not show up
e.g. The EXPORT option will be shown only if the media file was uploaded from a media provider too
Here is a list of all downloadable file types per product:
|Plain Text/ASCII (.txt)||SRT||
|Docx||VTT||SRT||Offline Interactive Transcript
NOTE : If you need a file format other than what is listed above, please reach out to your Verbit Success Manager or email us at email@example.com with the details.

Translation Not Available
Since turnaround time may vary per translation language, some languages may not be available for download until the job is fully finished. If a language is grayed out, it means the translation is currently not available for download.
You will see a tool tip that will give you more context about the progress on that translation order.
Translation is still in progressmeans the translation for the relevant language is still in production and will be available shortly
Translation is not availablemeans an issue was encountered during production and we are unable to produce the translation for the specific language.

Export to Linked Account
You can manually export the latest version of the transcript/captions by going to DOWNLOAD, then choosing EXPORT.
The EXPORT option appears only if the job was uploaded through a linked account. It will present a summary of the export details - in particular, the media provider platform and the file types that will be exported.
Click EXPORT inside the dialog box to push the relevant files to the media platform.
Once done, you will see a confirmation message about your recent export.
- If all file formats were exported successfully, then the confirmation message will show Export Completed Successfully
- If all the file types failed to export, then the confirmation message will show Export Failed : All File Types
- If only a set of the file types is exported successfully - that is, some file types failed to export - then the confirmation message will show Export Failed with a list of the file types that failed to export.
You can download the latest version of the captions by going to DOWNLOAD, then choosing PLUGINS.
You can either choose to generate an embeddable interactive transcript HTML code or download an offline interactive player.
The DOWNLOAD button in your Verbit homepage will let you download transcripts, captions, or translations from multiple jobs in multiple file formats simultaneously.
NOTE : If multiple jobs were selected, then the files will be downloaded as a single zip file. If multiple file formats were selected, then the files will sorted in folders per job.
By default, all available translations of all the selected jobs will be downloaded, and there’s no need to select languages.
