Once you upload a file, the file will be transcribed by Verbit's ASR engine. 

After the initial technology-produced transcript is ready, the file passes to our human transcribers. This step is divided into two stages: editors and reviewers to ensure that the transcript reaches over 99% accuracy. All our transcribers are highly qualified and must pass a rigorous test with a 10% acceptance rate.

What is the status of my file?

The Status column indicates what stage of the transcription process a job is at.

Below is a list of possible statuses you may see on the platform and what each means:

1. Finished - The file has completed the prescribed transcription workflow and is ready for download.
2. Work in Progress - The file is yet to complete the transcription workflow.
3. Media Error - Files without any spoken words or have unsupported language are returned as media error.
